The general accounting dashboard is made up of very three very powerful sections of what you can do in the GL.
General Accounting Dashboard
Enter the User ID and Password.
Click on Sign In button.
Click on Navigator icon.
Navigate to General Accounting General Accounting Dashboard.
Here we can view the history of Account Monitor, Intercompany Transactions, Journals, Close Status.
Account Monitor provides efficient monitoring and tracking of key account balances in real-time and is continually updated, at every level of the dimension and hierarchy. It is a powerful tool for a real-time, multidimensional account analysis. It is available in the General Accounting Dashboard and in the Financial Reporting Center.
An intercompany transaction occurs when one unit of an entity is involved in a transaction with another unit of the same entity. Most of the transactions involve two unrelated entities. An intercompany transaction occurs when one unit of an entity transacts with another unit of the same entity. It is a transaction between two associated companies that file a consolidated tax return or financial statement.
Period Close provides information about the period close status for a given accounting period across multiple products for related ledgers in a hierarchical ledger set based display.
The period status information that is displayed is broken down by application module including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Asset, Projects, and Costing
